Community Project: Planting Tree

Student become aware that they can play a role in protecting the environment through personal involvement and it will help develop a sense of inner pride and encourage positive behavior. Ultimately, it is hoped that the experience will help them make intelligent decisions about conservation and use of our valuable natural resources. Trees provide a host of benefits from oxygen to shade to wildlife habitat. Learners help select and plant a tree for the future. In this activity, learners identify benefits we receive from trees and participate in a tree-planting event.
